What we do
Six heating services we offer across Northwest Oregon.
Heaters are out of sight until they aren't. From a same-day furnace repair to a full heat-pump conversion — we cover the full path so you don't have to juggle three contractors to keep your house warm.
Furnace installation
High-efficiency Trane and American Standard gas furnaces, 92–97% AFUE. Properly sized via Manual J, vented to code, tuned to factory spec.

Annual maintenance
Why annual heating maintenance pays for itself — the cheapest repair is the one that never happens.
Most expensive HVAC failures start as cheap problems: a stuck damper, a dirty flame sensor, a slipping belt. Annual tune-ups catch them before they cascade. They also keep your manufacturer warranty valid, which most homeowners don't realize requires documented yearly service.
Filter check + swap
Standard 1" filters checked, replaced if needed. We'll flag anything restrictive that's starving the blower.
Combustion analysis
Gas-side furnace tune-ups get a full combustion analysis: CO levels, gas pressure, draft, and burner condition verified.
Electrical safety check
Capacitors, contactors, wire integrity, and amp draw. Most pre-failures show up here months before a breakdown.
21-point inspection
Full system walk-through with a written report: what looks good, what's drifting, and what needs attention.
Coil + cabinet cleaning
Indoor coil dust check, blower wheel inspected, condensate drain cleared. Cleaner systems run quieter and longer.
Minor adjustments
Belt tension, blower wheel balance, drain pitch — anything that drifts gets dialed back in before winter.
Comfort Care Maintenance Plans
Tune-ups, priority scheduling, and member rates on repairs.
What we install
The Trane and Mitsubishi systems we install — matched and tuned.
We install matched Trane systems (outdoor unit, indoor air handler or coil, and furnace) sized together via Manual J and commissioned together at start-up. Mismatched gear is a major cause of efficiency loss and short equipment life.

Repair vs. replace
Six signs it's time to replace your heating system, not patch it.
Sometimes the smart fix is fixing it. Sometimes it's buying the next ten years of comfort. Here's how we frame the call — and the math we walk through with you at the estimate.
System is 12+ years old
Most furnaces last 15–20 years with maintenance, but efficiency drops late. Past 12 years, a replacement often pays back inside the warranty.
Repair cost > 50% of replacement
Rule of thumb: if the repair quote is more than half of a new system, replacement usually wins — especially if the system is also old.
Bills are climbing
A 12-year-old 80% AFUE furnace burns 20% more gas than a new 96% unit doing the same work. The math compounds every winter.
AC also needs replacing
If both your furnace and AC are aging, a heat pump replaces both. Qualifies for $1,500–$3,000+ in rebates and runs efficiently in our climate.
Cracked heat exchanger
A cracked heat exchanger is a life-safety issue (carbon monoxide). Repair is rarely viable — replacement is the answer.
Short-cycling that won't go away
If a properly-sized system still short-cycles after multiple repairs, the system was likely oversized originally. Right-sized replacement fixes it.
Not sure which side you fall on?Free in-home estimate, side-by-side repair vs. replace numbers, no high-pressure upsell. We'll tell you straight.
Why our heating installs hold up
Three things most HVAC installers skip — and we don't.
Manual J load calculation
Properly sized systems run more efficiently and last longer than the oversized boxes most installers default to.
Manufacturer-spec installs
Every install matches the manufacturer manual: line size, refrigerant charge, electrical, the whole thing. The reason warranties stay valid.
Energy Trust + IRA rebates
We handle the rebate paperwork. Most heat pump installs qualify for $1,500–$3,000+ in combined incentives.

Our fleet
Trucks rolling across the metro every day.
Stocked-truck inventory covers most repairs on the first visit. Branded vehicles you can spot from the driveway. Same trucks, same crew, same warranty service whether we're in Portland today or West Linn tomorrow.

Repair or replace?
When repair turns into replacement.
Some systems are past the line where another fix makes sense. We model repair-vs-replace at the estimate — with real numbers on paper, including Energy Trust rebates and any panel-upgrade trade-offs — so the math is on the page, not in our heads.
Heating questions across Northwest Oregon, answered.
- Once a year, before the heating season. Most Trane, American Standard, and Mitsubishi manufacturer warranties require annual maintenance to stay valid — skip a year and the warranty can void. Our maintenance plans handle the scheduling so you don't have to remember.
- 15–20 years with annual maintenance, often less without. The Pacific Northwest climate is mild on equipment compared to colder regions, so well-maintained systems often run past the warranty window.
- For most homes across the metro, yes — eventually. Heat pumps heat efficiently down to the temperatures we typically see, qualify for substantial rebates, and double as your AC. We model the math at the estimate so you can see the payback.
- Most straightforward replacements are a same-day job. New ductwork, gas-line work, or full system conversions can stretch to 1–2 days. We'll tell you the realistic timeline at the estimate.
- Yes. We install Trane and American Standard, but we repair every major furnace brand: Carrier, Lennox, Rheem, Goodman, Bryant, York, Heil, Coleman, and more. The diagnostic process is the same regardless of badge.
- Headquartered in Oregon City, we serve the Portland metro across Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington counties: Portland, Beaverton, Gresham, Lake Oswego, West Linn, and Clackamas.
- Yes — Wells Fargo financing including a 0% promotional option for qualifying customers. We apply right at the estimate, decisions usually come back same-day. See the financing page for current options.
